# ZeroVPN vs 9D VPN

The clearest difference is rating: 9D VPN at 4.4 against ZeroVPN's 3.3. 9D VPN also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (530 vs 151). ZeroVPN's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 44%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZeroVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and 9D VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

9D VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 151 and 530 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of ZeroVPN's written reviews are positive against 44% of 9D VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ZeroVPN ships an update every 2 months, 9D VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
