# Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity vs CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity at every 3 weeks against CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp's every 4 months. Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (5K vs 119). CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.99 per month and CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity has 5K ratings behind it against 119, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's written reviews are positive against 83% of CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity ships an update every 3 weeks, CompTIA Security+ by LearnZapp every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
