# Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity vs Skillweed Academy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Skillweed Academy at free against Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's freemium. Skillweed Academy also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.99 per month and Skillweed Academy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skillweed Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity has 5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity ships an update every 3 weeks, Skillweed Academy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
