# Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity vs RegEx

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity at 5K against RegEx's 23. RegEx's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.99 per month and RegEx sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RegEx holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity has 5K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's written reviews are positive against 100% of RegEx's.

Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity ships an update every 3 weeks, RegEx fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
