# Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity vs K8s Guide

The clearest difference is monetization model: K8s Guide at free against Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's freemium. K8s Guide also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.99 per month and K8s Guide sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

K8s Guide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity has 5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity ships an update every 3 weeks, K8s Guide every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
