# DsStopWatch vs Stopwatch Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Stopwatch Pro at 5.0 against DsStopWatch's 4.3. Stopwatch Pro also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 3). DsStopWatch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DsStopWatch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stopwatch Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stopwatch Pro has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DsStopWatch ships an update every 2 months, Stopwatch Pro every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
