# Scanlivo vs PDF Scanner Pro *

The clearest difference is monetization model: PDF Scanner Pro * at free with in-app purchases against Scanlivo's subscription. PDF Scanner Pro * also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and rating (4.4 vs 3.9). Scanlivo's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanlivo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.49 per month and PDF Scanner Pro * sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner Pro * holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Scanner Pro * has 108 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Scanlivo ships an update every 10 months, PDF Scanner Pro * every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
