# Boomerang vs BoomReplay Loop Video Maker

The clearest difference is update cadence: BoomReplay Loop Video Maker at weekly against Boomerang's every 5 weeks. BoomReplay Loop Video Maker also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Boomerang's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%) and chart position (#195 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boomerang sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and BoomReplay Loop Video Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoomReplay Loop Video Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boomerang has 4.7K ratings behind it against 545, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Boomerang's written reviews are positive against 36% of BoomReplay Loop Video Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Boomerang ships an update every 5 weeks, BoomReplay Loop Video Maker weekly. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
