# Boomerang vs Boomerang

Boomerang and Boomerang both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Boomerang's written reviews are positive against 50% of Boomerang's. Boomerang also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). Boomerang's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.7K vs 98). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boomerang sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Boomerang sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Boomerang against 4.5 for Boomerang. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boomerang has 4.7K ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Boomerang ships an update every 5 weeks, Boomerang every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
