# BC eSIM vs GTeSIM

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BC eSIM at 83 against GTeSIM's 1. BC eSIM also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). GTeSIM's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BC eSIM against 5.0 for GTeSIM. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BC eSIM has 83 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BC eSIM ships an update fortnightly, GTeSIM every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
