# DuoCal vs Super Simple Diary

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Super Simple Diary at 11 against DuoCal's 1. Super Simple Diary also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DuoCal sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Super Simple Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for DuoCal against 5.0 for Super Simple Diary. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Super Simple Diary has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

DuoCal ships an update every 3 months, Super Simple Diary every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
