# DrumComputer vs Tating

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tating at free against DrumComputer's free with in-app purchases. Tating also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). DrumComputer's advantage is ratings volume (621 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrumComputer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tating sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tating holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrumComputer has 621 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DrumComputer ships an update every 5 weeks, Tating every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
