# Planbook Mobile vs FTCE Math Test Prep

The clearest difference is monetization model: FTCE Math Test Prep at free with in-app purchases against Planbook Mobile's subscription. Planbook Mobile's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (7.2K vs 33). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planbook Mobile sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FTCE Math Test Prep sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planbook Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planbook Mobile has 7.2K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Planbook Mobile ships an update every 2 months, FTCE Math Test Prep every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
