# Planbook Mobile vs CENTA® for Teachers

The clearest difference is monetization model: CENTA® for Teachers at free with in-app purchases against Planbook Mobile's subscription. CENTA® for Teachers also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 51%). Planbook Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 17) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planbook Mobile sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and CENTA® for Teachers sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Planbook Mobile against 4.7 for CENTA® for Teachers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planbook Mobile has 7.6K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.
