# Multi SMS vs BCC Text

Multi SMS and BCC Text both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of BCC Text's written reviews are positive against 20% of Multi SMS's. BCC Text also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (147 vs 22). Multi SMS's advantage is iOS requirement (10.3 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Multi SMS sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year and BCC Text sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Multi SMS holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BCC Text has 147 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Multi SMS's written reviews are positive against 71% of BCC Text's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Multi SMS ships an update every 2 months, BCC Text every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
