# OperrTel vs BehindYourWall

The clearest difference is rating: BehindYourWall at 5.0 against OperrTel's 4.4. BehindYourWall also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). OperrTel's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OperrTel sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and BehindYourWall sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BehindYourWall holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OperrTel has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OperrTel ships an update weekly, BehindYourWall every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 5, 2026.
