# Mantis Laser Academy vs Par Timer Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: Par Timer Pro at weekly against Mantis Laser Academy's every 3 weeks. Mantis Laser Academy's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 376) and review sentiment (69% vs 59%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mantis Laser Academy sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Par Timer Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mantis Laser Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mantis Laser Academy has 4.1K ratings behind it against 376, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Mantis Laser Academy's written reviews are positive against 59% of Par Timer Pro's.

Mantis Laser Academy ships an update every 3 weeks, Par Timer Pro weekly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
