# Seam Reader vs Evalu 8 Metrikz

The clearest difference is rating: Evalu 8 Metrikz at 5.0 against Seam Reader's 3.8. Evalu 8 Metrikz also leads on ads (none vs shown). Seam Reader's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seam Reader sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Evalu 8 Metrikz sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
