# Tasks vs CertScore

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CertScore at none against Tasks's 13. CertScore also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Tasks's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 1) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tasks sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. CertScore asks for nothing beyond the download.

CertScore holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tasks has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tasks ships an update weekly, CertScore every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
