# Translator Keyboard vs TECO

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TECO at none against Translator Keyboard's 14. TECO also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). Translator Keyboard's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (21K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Translator Keyboard sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. TECO asks for nothing beyond the download.

TECO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator Keyboard has 21K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Translator Keyboard ships an update fortnightly, TECO every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
