# Squirrel vs Diadu

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Diadu at none against Squirrel's 3. Diadu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Squirrel's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 26.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Squirrel sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Diadu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Diadu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Squirrel has 16 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Squirrel ships an update every 6 weeks, Diadu every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
