# Fonts vs Custom Font Maker Keyboard

The clearest difference is monetization model: Custom Font Maker Keyboard at free with in-app purchases against Fonts's subscription. Fonts's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fonts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Custom Font Maker Keyboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Fonts against 4.4 for Custom Font Maker Keyboard. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fonts has 388 ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two.
