# Artleap by Lightricks vs modu

The clearest difference is rating: Artleap by Lightricks at 4.7 against modu's 3.3. Artleap by Lightricks also leads on ratings volume (19K vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). modu's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 36%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Artleap by Lightricks sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and modu sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Artleap by Lightricks holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Artleap by Lightricks has 19K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Artleap by Lightricks's written reviews are positive against 57% of modu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Artleap by Lightricks ships an update fortnightly, modu every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
