# Nonogram vs Screw Jam

The clearest difference is ads: Screw Jam at none against Nonogram's shown. Screw Jam also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (49K vs 4K). Nonogram's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 26%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nonogram sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Screw Jam sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Nonogram against 4.6 for Screw Jam. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screw Jam has 49K ratings behind it against 4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Nonogram's written reviews are positive against 26% of Screw Jam's.

Nonogram ships an update every 3 weeks, Screw Jam weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
