# BreakTime vs Focus Space

The clearest difference is rating: BreakTime at 4.8 against Focus Space's 4.6. Focus Space's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (57 vs 12). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BreakTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Focus Space sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BreakTime holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 57 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of BreakTime's written reviews are positive against 56% of Focus Space's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BreakTime ships an update every 3 months, Focus Space every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
