# BreakTime vs Tempus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tempus at every 6 days against BreakTime's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BreakTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tempus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BreakTime ships an update every 3 months, Tempus every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
