# BreakTime vs Praeo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Praeo at every 10 days against BreakTime's every 3 months. Praeo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BreakTime's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 3) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BreakTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Praeo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Praeo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 3 respectively.

BreakTime ships an update every 3 months, Praeo every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
