# Paranormal Files vs Hidden Objects

The clearest difference is rating: Hidden Objects at 4.6 against Paranormal Files's 3.4. Hidden Objects also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (104 vs 13). Paranormal Files's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (40% vs 21%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paranormal Files sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hidden Objects sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hidden Objects holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hidden Objects has 104 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Paranormal Files's written reviews are positive against 21% of Hidden Objects's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Paranormal Files ships an update every 3 months, Hidden Objects every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
