# S vs Pru

The clearest difference is rating: Pru at 3.0 against S's 2.5. Pru also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). S's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pru holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: S has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

S ships an update every 4 months, Pru every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
