# Fortelling vs CharaMemo

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fortelling at 1K against CharaMemo's 11. CharaMemo's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 73%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fortelling sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.39 per month and CharaMemo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CharaMemo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fortelling has 1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of Fortelling's written reviews are positive against 95% of CharaMemo's.

Fortelling ships an update every 8 days, CharaMemo every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
