# Ruler∘ vs Watch Faces & Widget Gallery

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ruler∘ at none against Watch Faces & Widget Gallery's 13. Ruler∘ also leads on ads (none vs shown). Watch Faces & Widget Gallery's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 44) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watch Faces & Widget Gallery sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Ruler∘ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Watch Faces & Widget Gallery holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watch Faces & Widget Gallery has 24K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Ruler∘'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Watch Faces & Widget Gallery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
