# CDTimer + vs Kounts

The clearest difference is rating: Kounts at 5.0 against CDTimer +'s 4.0. Kounts also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). CDTimer +'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kounts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. CDTimer + asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kounts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kounts has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

CDTimer + ships an update every 5 weeks, Kounts every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
