# Simple Golf GPS vs SmoothSwing

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Simple Golf GPS at 100% against SmoothSwing's 49%. Simple Golf GPS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 16.0). SmoothSwing's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (11K vs 12). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmoothSwing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Golf GPS asks for nothing beyond the download.

SmoothSwing holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmoothSwing has 11K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Simple Golf GPS's written reviews are positive against 49% of SmoothSwing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
