# FlashRead vs Read Rocket

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FlashRead at none against Read Rocket's 1. FlashRead also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Read Rocket's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Read Rocket sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FlashRead asks for nothing beyond the download.

FlashRead ships an update every 7 months, Read Rocket every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
