# ThermoWorks vs GMVoice

ThermoWorks and GMVoice both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of GMVoice's written reviews are positive against 65% of ThermoWorks's. GMVoice also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). ThermoWorks's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (17K vs 6). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GMVoice sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. ThermoWorks asks for nothing beyond the download.

GMVoice holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThermoWorks has 17K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of ThermoWorks's written reviews are positive against 100% of GMVoice's.
