# DishPointer (Satellite Finder) vs DVB

The clearest difference is ads: DVB at none against DishPointer (Satellite Finder)'s shown. DVB also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 13 months). DishPointer (Satellite Finder)'s advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DishPointer (Satellite Finder) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DVB sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DishPointer (Satellite Finder) ships an update every 13 months, DVB every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
