# The Perc vs Spicy Chowk

The clearest difference is update cadence: Spicy Chowk at every 3 weeks against The Perc's every 3 months. The Perc's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for The Perc against 4.9 for Spicy Chowk. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Perc has 69 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Perc ships an update every 3 months, Spicy Chowk every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
