# Minicity vs B&G Store

The clearest difference is rating: B&G Store at 5.0 against Minicity's 3.4. B&G Store also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Minicity's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

B&G Store holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minicity has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Minicity ships an update monthly, B&G Store every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
