# Ghost SLS vs Ghost Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Ghost SLS at 4.4 against Ghost Chat's 3.7. Ghost SLS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 129). Ghost Chat's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (58% vs 37%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Ghost SLS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ghost SLS holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost SLS has 3.7K ratings behind it against 129, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Ghost SLS's written reviews are positive against 58% of Ghost Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost SLS ships an update every 2 months, Ghost Chat every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
