# SMS Instant vs Xcreen

The clearest difference is rating: Xcreen at 5.0 against SMS Instant's 4.1. SMS Instant's advantage is ratings volume (62 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMS Instant sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Xcreen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Xcreen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMS Instant has 62 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
