# PDF Scanner App vs iSign

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iSign at 100% against PDF Scanner App's 50%. iSign also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). PDF Scanner App's advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Scanner App sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and iSign sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iSign holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Scanner App has 4.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of PDF Scanner App's written reviews are positive against 100% of iSign's.

PDF Scanner App ships an update every 6 weeks, iSign fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
