# EarthQuake+ vs Earthquake Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Earthquake Tracker at none against EarthQuake+'s shown. Earthquake Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 45%). EarthQuake+'s advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 77). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EarthQuake+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Earthquake Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for EarthQuake+ against 4.5 for Earthquake Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EarthQuake+ has 2.3K ratings behind it against 77, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of EarthQuake+'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Earthquake Tracker's.

EarthQuake+ ships an update every 3 months, Earthquake Tracker every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
