# Tech vs Midland Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Tech at 1.6 against Midland Connect's 1.0. Tech also leads on ratings volume (88 vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tech holds the better App Store score, 1.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tech has 88 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Tech's written reviews are positive against 17% of Midland Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tech ships an update monthly, Midland Connect every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
