# Tech vs iFi

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tech at monthly against iFi's every 8 months. Tech also leads on ratings volume (88 vs 13). iFi's advantage is rating (1.9 vs 1.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iFi holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tech has 88 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Tech's written reviews are positive against 9% of iFi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tech ships an update monthly, iFi every 8 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
