# SLYFONE vs Fonus

The clearest difference is rating: SLYFONE at 4.6 against Fonus's 2.2. SLYFONE also leads on ratings volume (777 vs 23) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). Fonus's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SLYFONE sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 3 months. Fonus asks for nothing beyond the download.

SLYFONE holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SLYFONE has 777 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of SLYFONE's written reviews are positive against 45% of Fonus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SLYFONE ships an update every 6 weeks, Fonus every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
