# Gallagher Devices vs FarmKeep

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Gallagher Devices at none against FarmKeep's 2. Gallagher Devices also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). FarmKeep's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (252 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FarmKeep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Gallagher Devices asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gallagher Devices holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FarmKeep has 252 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Gallagher Devices's written reviews are positive against 88% of FarmKeep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gallagher Devices ships an update every 2 months, FarmKeep every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
