# Devyce vs SMS Virtual

The clearest difference is monetization model: SMS Virtual at free with in-app purchases against Devyce's subscription. SMS Virtual also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 64%) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Devyce's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Devyce sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and SMS Virtual sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMS Virtual holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 28 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Devyce's written reviews are positive against 88% of SMS Virtual's.

Devyce ships an update every 2 weeks, SMS Virtual every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
