# Fax from iPhone vs PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fax from iPhone at 95% against PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer's 50%. Fax from iPhone also leads on ratings volume (217 vs 24). PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fax from iPhone sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fax from iPhone has 217 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Fax from iPhone's written reviews are positive against 50% of PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fax from iPhone ships an update monthly, PDF Scanner & Edit DOC Viewer daily. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
