# Mendel's Quest vs Axe Strike

The clearest difference is ads: Mendel's Quest at none against Axe Strike's shown. Mendel's Quest also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 25 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mendel's Quest sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Axe Strike sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mendel's Quest ships an update monthly, Axe Strike every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
