# Heatwise Studio vs PWR NYC

The clearest difference is monetization model: PWR NYC at free against Heatwise Studio's free with in-app purchases. Heatwise Studio's advantage is ratings volume (703 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Heatwise Studio against 5.0 for PWR NYC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Heatwise Studio has 703 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Heatwise Studio ships an update every 4 weeks, PWR NYC every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
